1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://www.brookfieldcorktennis.com and any court booking you make. The website and courts are operated by Brookfield Leisure Limited, trading as Brookfield Tennis Court, of Brookfield, College Road, Cork, Ireland.

By making a booking you confirm you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. Bookings and contract

2.1 A booking is made by selecting an available date and time slot, adding it to your cart, and completing payment.
2.2 A binding contract is formed when we confirm your booking (by on-screen confirmation and/or confirmation email). If we cannot fulfil a booking, we will contact you and issue a full refund.
2.3 You are responsible for selecting the correct date, time and slot type (day/night). Please check your confirmation email.
2.4 You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking, or have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

3. Prices and payment

3.1 Prices are shown in euro (€) and start from €10.00 per slot. Night/floodlit slots may be priced differently; the applicable price is shown before you pay. Night-slot prices include full lighting coverage.
3.2 Prices are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate.
3.3 Payment is taken online at the time of booking via Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
3.4 We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before your booking is confirmed.
3.5 Additional charges. If the court lights are left switched on after your booking slot ends, a charge of €25 toward additional electricity costs may be applied to your payment method. This is the only additional charge and is disclosed here before you book.

4. Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling

4.1 Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: cancellations/changes made 24 hours or more before the slot are eligible for a full refund; changes within 24 hours, late arrivals and no-shows are not refundable.
4.2 Right of withdrawal (consumers). Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to leisure/recreational services that are supplied on a specific date or period (a booked court slot). By booking a specific slot you acknowledge this. Your statutory rights where a service is not supplied with reasonable care and skill are unaffected.

5. Bookings cancelled by us / Force majeure

5.1 In the event of extreme weather, court damage, maintenance, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we may need to cancel a booking. Where we do, we will offer you an alternative slot or a full refund.
5.2 We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

6. Use of the courts (House rules)

By booking you agree to: arrive on time and vacate promptly at the end of your slot; wear appropriate non-marking footwear and suitable sportswear; use the courts only for tennis (unless otherwise agreed); not sublet or resell your slot; supervise any children in your group; and follow any signage and reasonable instructions from staff.

7. Access and security

Access to the courts is provided via a code sent in your confirmation email. You must not share access details with anyone not covered by your booking.

8. Liability

8.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8.2 Subject to 8.1, our total liability arising out of any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
8.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of or damage to personal property brought onto the premises, except where caused by our negligence.

9. Health, safety and assumption of risk

9.3 You must report any hazard, injury or damage to us as soon as possible.

10. Communications and marketing

We will send you booking-related emails (confirmations, reminders, changes). We will only send marketing emails with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in those emails or your communication preferences.

12. Complaints

If you have a complaint, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge complaints within [5] working days and resolve them promptly. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr or contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland (www.ccpc.ie).

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction. As a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the country in which you reside.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
